COMPUTER orBIT is the retail forefront of our business. Established since 1996, we have supplied hardware, support and excellent customer service to thousands of local residents, businesses and local authorities.
Expanding into serving business and educational bodies as well as home users, we cater for every type of user. Understanding that each client is unique, we tailor our products and services to suit your requirements.
Our success has been built upon customer satisfaction, loyalty and recommendation over many years. Our simple mentality of ‘treat others how you would like to be treated’ ensures you are dealt with efficiently and with great care and attention.
We offer thousands of products and have close working relationships with many suppliers, distributors and the biggest names in the industry, this enables us to stock the right product with the right price, complimented by our excellent level of customer service.
History:
Established in 1996, our first store was opened in Newcastle. A small two storey warehouse was converted in to a store front and COMPUTER orBIT was born. Being one of the first independent computer retailers COMPUTER orBIT was a huge success, we rapidly outgrew the small store, requiring a much larger store front and warehouse space.
We then moved to Old Sunderland Road in Gateshead, where we spent a few years, before moving once again to our current location on Old Durham Road in Gateshead in 1999.
In keeping with the ‘online boom’ we launched our e-commerce website in 2002 offering thousands of items that could be purchased at a click of a button. We now offer all our products online, as well as in-store, with 95% stock availability and competitive prices.
In May 2006 we opened our second retail store in Newcastle, not far from our original place of birth. Offering the same products and service this store was a replication of our successful business however with a modern edge to the look and feel of the store.
We now offer products and services to home users, businesses, educational bodies and trade resellers, as well as an expansive online shopping facility.
