How to Return an Item
In the unlikely instance of receiving goods which are faulty we prepared an easy to follow and stress free “Return Procedure”. However in addition to this policy you should refer to our Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Damaged products
We make every effort to ensure that you receive your goods in perfect condition.
All deliveries should be checked for damage before signing up for goods.
If you notice that items are damaged or incorrectly delivered, please refuse the delivery and contact our customer services representative within 72 hours of receiving the order on 0191 4207700 , or alternatively by email.
Please note, that a replacement will not be sent until the damaged item has been returned and inspected.
Defective products
Contacting Manufacturer
In the unlikely event that you have a faulty item, you may find it quicker and easier to contact the manufacturer directly so that they can rectify the problem for you. The homepages and telephone numbers of the manufacturers you will find on Manufacturer Contacts page.
Please keep all the warranty information that accompanies your item as this will be needed should there be a fault.

Please ensure that you enclose:
- Your invoice number - written on the top of the parcel
- Details of why you are returning the item
- All packaging, including CD’s, manuals and cables etc.
Please Note: If the products purchased from computerorbit.co.uk are found returned with illegal software or are faulty due to accident, neglect or misuse, you will not receive any replacements or compensation.
We are responsible for reporting any illegal activities to the authorities. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Defective goods should be returned within warranty period – please see Warranties and Guarantee's
If the product is diagnosed as defective by our technicians, a replacement will be delivered to you within 3 working days after the testing on condition that the item is in stock at our warehouse.
Any goods returned to us under the “Return Procedure” guidelines and found by our technical department not to be faulty will incur an administrative charge of £10 + VAT per item returned. This charge will be billed to the credit card used to pay for goods.
Returned goods must be adequately wrapped and accompanied by all peripheral items including CDs, manuals and cables, as in other case we may not be able to accept the return of the product.
computerorbit.co.uk does not refund any postage and packing charges under any circumstances.
We suggest that if returning products via mail, you send it by registered post and also consider insuring the goods.
Products ordered in error
If you have ordered an incompatible product, it may be returned to us within 7 working days of receiving the order. The product must be in an unused, complete, unopened and re-saleable condition and it is received by us as we dispatched it to you.
Any goods returned incomplete or un-sealable for resale as new are liable for a 25 percent (25%) restocking fee.
All Custom Made systems and orders will incur a 25 percent (25%) handling and restocking fee upon request of a cancellation or a return without a fault.

Warranties and Guarantees
All goods are supplied with a 12 months RTB (return to base) warranty unless specified otherwise and the exception of:
Monitors - 3 year on-site warranty provided by the relevant manufacturer – please see the Manufacturer Contacts page
Printers - One year manufacturers’ on-site/collect and return.
Any other products carrying extended cover provided by the manufacturer.
Seeking advice from the manufacturer does not affect your legal statutory rights.
After one month of use, the right to a product replacement/refund ends and a repair service is offered if a product develops a fault.
Warranty’s exemptions
In the case of consumables (such as toner, ink cartridges, drum and paper) where the suitability/compatibility of the product is ascertainable without breaking the factory seal, and the factory seal is broken, this is likely to amount to a breach of your legal obligation to take reasonable care of the goods.
Software that has been opened and is not defective cannot be returned in any circumstances. Unopened software may be returned in accordance with this returns policy.
